GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Responsible for coordinating the procurement and distribution of materials, parts, equipment and supplies for the organization, beginning with the intent to propose through delivery.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyzes the requirements related to procurement of components, including preliminary specifications, preferred supplier and date components are needed.
• Evaluates proposals for the requested components per management direction.
• Investigates potential suppliers to determine if they meet the specified requirements.
• Advises team members or management on the appropriate supplier to be used.
• Implements purchase contracts that comply with company and government regulations.
• Assures that the components are delivered on schedule, at the negotiated price and meets the quality standards of the company.
• Maintains timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices and other documents to assure accurate retention of records.
• Coordinates appropriate methods needed to distribute components in a cost-effective manner.

*Will perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS: (Education, Experience, Certifications, Skills)

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Business Administration or other relevant degree
• Min. 3 to 5 years Purchasing experience, combined with a demonstrated track record of accomplishments Excellent PC skills
• Knowledge of MS Office and Oracle Self-starter with
• Ability to work within teams Knowledge of ERP systems
